Job description

MOVER _ multiple positions - Packer, Crew Member (packing and loading) , Crew Chief, and CDL Driver

Now hiring various moving positions. Star Moving is a 28 year old company specializing in local, long distance, international and office moving. You will be responsible for managing or being part of a moving crew and delivering excellent service to our clients. This will include determining priorities, assigning tasks, holding people responsible and achieving the desired results. This position requires dedication, a level head, and the ability to delegate work. A positive attitude, exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to physically assist movers with the daily responsibilities is necessary. You must be able to pass a background check and get on Military Bases.

CDL Driver - $25.00-$30.00/hour

Crew Chief: $20.00-$23.00/hour

Packer and loader - $18.00-$22.00/hour

Packer- $17.00-$19.00/hour

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Review daily tasks, determine priorities and possibly manage crew
  • Maintain a clean and efficient truck and warehouse
  • Communicates objectives and instructions to crew
  • Upholds and enforces company standards and polices, such as attendance and uniforms
  • Resolves problems and proactively takes steps to avoid future problems.
  • Provides oversight to ensure all necessary labor, materials and equipment arrive at each job site in a timely manner
  • Conducts daily truck and equipment checks for cleanliness, maintenance and security.
  • Keep track of all items coming and going to/from the warehouse.

Additional requirements:

Experience in the household goods moving industry (a plus)

Bi-lingual (preferred)

Experience with inventorying household goods

Strong organizational and leadership skills

Valid Driver’s license (preferred, but not required)

Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance


Job Type: Seasonal - Full Time.
