Job Summary:
  • Supervise, train and schedule entry level lifeguards in every aspect of the job.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Enforce all facility policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Coordinate orientation for new lifeguards, supervises, schedules and evaluates (with the Aquatics Director) performance of Lifeguards.
  • Review incident and accident reports with the staff & return to Aquatics Director.
  • Act as liaison between patrons and guards.
  • Recognize and responds effectively to emergencies.
  • Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report unsafe conditions and equipment to supervisor.
  • Complete appropriate records and reports.
  • Attend and participate in all in-service training as a requirement of employment.
  • Responsible for work hours. Must obtain a substitute when unable to work.
  • Keep all certifications current.
  • Complete 500 yards every 2 weeks
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Training
  • American Red Cross First Aid & CPR for the Professional Rescuer
  • American Red Cross Head Lifeguard Module preferred
  • Must have obtained (or will obtain) valid PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Criminal History Background Checks within the last twelve (12) months.
