Job description

The Cook 2 is an experienced, station-ready culinary professional who executes independently at a high level across Red Maple’s café and catering operations. This is not a learning position — the Cook 2 arrives with solid foundational technique, the ability to own a station without supervision, and the professional judgment to maintain quality standards under the pressure of a live service.

The Cook 2 works directly alongside the Cook 1 and Head Chef, receiving assignments and executing them with minimal direction. During peak service and large catering events, the Cook 2 is an anchor on the line. They understand their station, they know the menu, and they deliver consistently. Outside of service, they contribute to prep, assist with mise en place planning, and support the smooth flow of daily kitchen operations.

This role is a proven stepping stone within our kitchen ladder. Cook 2 team members who demonstrate reliability, culinary skill, and a growth mindset will be the first considered for Cook 1 advancement.
