What is a head hostess?

A Head Hostess is the lead member of a restaurant or hospitality venue's hosting team. They are responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and overseeing other host staff to ensure smooth front-of-house operations. The Head Hostess often coordinates communication between guests and service staff, handles special requests, and resolves any customer concerns. Their role is crucial for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring guests have a positive first impression of the establishment.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a head hostess?
