Varsity Head Girls' Swim Coach

Job Summary:

Fenwick High School Athletics is currently seeking a Varsity Head Girls' Swim Coach. All applicants must have or be in pursuit of appropriate credentials. 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and communication skills. In addition, the coach will create and cultivate a positive team and community atmosphere aligned with Fenwick's core values. ASEP Coaching certification or a valid Illinois Teaching Certificate is preferred.  

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Head coach at the varsity level but in charge of the entire program
  • Provide a vision for the future of Fenwick Swim & Dive
  • Plan and schedule a regular program of practice
  • Oversee the safety conditions of practices and games
  • Attend league, district, awards, and/or Fenwick Athletics annual meetings
  • Assume responsibility for uniforms and equipment
  • Remain in compliant with all Virtus, ISBE, & IHSA requirements
  • Complete all required paperwork
  • Explain and enforce eligibility rules, training rules and regulations

IHSA Girls' Swim Season 2026:  Mid August - mid -November 2026

*IHSA State Tournament begins November, 2026

Additional preseason open gyms, workouts, and meetings prior to IHSA start date may occur as well.
