Job description

Boys JV Head Basketball Coach
Tanque Verde High School is seeking a JV Head Boys Basketball Coach.
Previous basketball coaching experience preferred. Promote sportsmanship and
foster good character in student athletes.
Provide for the safety and welfare of all participants. Supervise students in practice
areas, locker rooms, on the bus during trips and at all times during the
season. Exercise patience, tolerance and diplomacy in relations with all players,
parents, co-workers, contest officials and spectators.
Interscholastic activities are an extension of the classroom and as such, your
actions, behavior and interactions with our student athletes should be reflective of
this.
All head coaches shall have a valid Arizona Teaching Certificate, Arizona
Coaching Certificate, or have completed each of the following criteria from the
National Federation of State High School Associations online at www.nfhslearn.org.
Within forty-five (45) days from date of hire:
Fundamentals of coaching
Sport specific course
First Aid/CPR
Fingerprint Clearance Card
