PRIMARY ROLE: The St.

Ignatius Athletic Department is seeking a Head Varsity Baseball Coach to lead its three-level program, which competes in the West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL). The head coach oversees all levels of the program, including the two lower level head coaches and four-five assistant coaches. The season runs from January 30 to early June when the section and state playoffs end.

The hope and expectations are that SI Baseball will continue to compete and win in the competitive WCAL. To accomplish this, our players will be involved in year round club baseball, strength and conditioning programs and some will be multi-sport athletes. Summer camps, individual training, open field and cage workouts also happen throughout the year.

The head varsity baseball coach will be in communication with all players and families regarding the year-round programming. The Head Varsity Coach will also oversee year-round use of Dekker Diamond in Pacifica (Fairmont Field), which includes the main field, three lighted hitting tunnels and two bullpens. The head coach will work closely with the Assistant Principal for Student Affairs, the admissions team, the Athletic Director and the Sports Supervisor in identifying talented student-athletes that want to play baseball at St.

Ignatius. The HC will work closely with the Athletic Director in hiring and supervising his assistants and lower level coaches. The HC and AD will also set the full contest schedules and must be versed in WCAL, CCS and CIF rules and regulations.
