A/V Install Technician - Build Your Tech Career in Utah's Luxury Homes

Audio Video Systems | Murray, UT | $20.45-54.50/hour + Company Vehicle + Full Benefits

Are you handy with tools and tired of jobs that don't pay what you're worth? Want to learn cutting-edge smart home technology while working in some of Utah's most incredible luxury homes?

We're looking for motivated people ready to dive into the fast-growing world of home automation and smart technology. This isn't your typical "fix broken stuff" tech job -- it's your chance to build real skills that pay serious money in a company that's been thriving for over 20 years.

Why This Role is Different:
This is more than just running cables. You'll be installing the future in million-dollar homes -- smart lighting, security systems, whole-home audio, and automation that most people only see in movies. AVS is Utah's premier luxury home automation company with 100+ employees and we're still growing fast. You get a clear path from $19/hour to $45/hour as you level up your skills, plus we actually provide the training to get you there.

Questions? Ready to apply? Our no resume needed - streamlined application process takes less than 5 minutes.

What You'll Do:

  • Install and wire smart home systems in luxury custom homes (think $2M+ houses)
  • Set up networks, security systems, and home automation equipment that controls everything from lights to window shades
  • Work with cutting-edge tech from industry leaders like Crestron, Savant, Control4, and Lutron
  • Install, terminate, and test low voltage cabling
  • Build equipment racks and program automation systems according to detailed plans
  • Pre-program networks and make programming changes to control systems
  • Follow project plans to create amazing experiences for homeowners
  • Keep job sites clean and professional (you're representing us in people's homes)
  • 10 Hour Shifts
  • Work primarily Monday-Friday with occasional overtime opportunities

What We're Looking For:

  • Someone who's good with hand and power tools and not afraid to learn new technology
  • Ability to work at heights, lift 50-75 pounds, and work in crawl spaces and tight areas
  • Good problem-solving skills and can communicate well with teammates and clients
  • Ability to read schematic wiring diagrams and technical drawings
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Willingness to pass background check and drug screen
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, and professional demeanor
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally or work overtime as needed.
  • Experience with low voltage or A/V systems is a plus, but we'll train the right person
  • Knowledge of Crestron, Savant, Control4, or Lutron systems is a bonus (but not required)

What's in It for You:

  • Real money: $20.45-$54.50/hour based on your skills and hustle
  • Company vehicle and fuel provided for job sites (no more wear and tear on your car)
  • Clear advancement path: A Level, B Level, C Level, Pro Level with pay increases at each step
  • Complete benefits package: Health, dental, vision insurance for you and your family
  • 401k retirement plan to help you build your future
  • Paid time off because work-life balance matters
  • Cell phone reimbursement
  • Tool payment options available (we help you get the tools you need)
  • Monthly and quarterly company activities - this team actually enjoys working together
  • Job security with a stable company that's been growing for 20+ years with no signs of slowing down
  • Skills that transfer anywhere - home automation is exploding nationwide

The Reality Check: Look, this isn't for everyone. You'll be working in people's homes, so you need to be respectful and professional. You'll crawl through attics and work on ladders. You'll need to think on your feet when problems come up. But if you're the kind of person who likes seeing tangible results from your work and wants to be part of Utah's booming luxury home market, this could be perfect.
How to Apply:
Ready to turn your hands-on skills into real money? We've made applying ridiculously simple - no lengthy corporate forms, no jumping through hoops, no waiting weeks to hear back, and no resume required. Our streamlined application takes under 10 minutes to complete and you'll know where you stand fast. Head over to https://www.videoask.com/f9j56r3mb for our quick application process.
