Job description

Job Title: VDM Operator

SUMMARY:

The purpose of this job is to prepare parts for plating operations by processing them through the vapor degreasing operation.

WAGE TYPE: Hourly

FLSA Exemption: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Prepare parts for plating through vapor degreasing
  • Visually inspect parts after washing to ensure they are meeting cosmetic requirements for plating.
  • Set up machine and monitor chemistry levels and temperatures.
  • Cleans and maintains area and equipment.
  • Records production data on specified forms.
  • Performs secondary assembly, hand cleaning, or other required steps.
  • Follow established safety procedures and work instructions.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Could potentially encounter hazardous chemicals.
  • Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:

  • Reports to: Production Supervisor/General Manager

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

Education and/or Experience:

Expected: High School Diploma or Equivalent. One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
