Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Provide support for compensation and HR programs by coordinating activities, maintaining job structures, and serving as a resource for HR-related inquiries. This role assists in job description development, reporting, and process improvements to ensure organizational effectiveness and compliance. This position is based onsite in Galveston, TX, with the potential for a hybrid work arrangement in the future based on business needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Plan, coordinate, and support compensation and HR program activities.

- Create, maintain, and audit job descriptions to ensure accuracy and consistency.

- Assist with writing and updating job descriptions and maintaining job codes.

- Maintain and support compensation grade structures.

- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

- Create flowcharts and process documentation to support business operations.

- Generate and maintain basic reports and data tracking tools.

- Process invoices and support administrative compensation functions.

- Serve as a resource for HR-related inquiries, working toward resolving Tier 0 and some Tier 1 questions.

- Assist with development of training materials and documentation.

- Assess program needs and recommend improvements to processes and workflows.

- Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and reporting structures.

MARGINAL OR PERIODIC FUNCTIONS:

- Perform related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience preferred.

- Previous HR experience preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including:

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Hiring Range: $22.00 - $33.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
