Job description

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to support our client in Austin, Texas, on a hybrid schedule (2 days onsite/week). We will only move forward with local candidates. 
We cannot work with candidates currently outside Austin. 


 This role will focus on designing and architecting IT modernization and transformation initiatives that support Data Center Operations and enterprise Service Delivery programs.

You will lead architecture strategy and cross-functional workgroups, delivering high-quality solution designs that address organization-wide technology needs. You'll partner closely with Service Delivery leadership, the CTO, Enterprise Architects, portfolio managers, application development teams, business stakeholders, and other key partners. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating both independently and as part of a program team, and can apply Agile/Scrum practices to support application enhancements and infrastructure evolution.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead architecture and design efforts for data center modernization, cloud/hybrid transformation, and service delivery initiatives
  • Produce architecture artifacts including current/future state designs, roadmaps, reference architectures, and standards
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership across cloud infrastructure, networking, automation, security, and operations
  • Guide teams on cloud delivery models (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS) and best practices for availability, scalability, and resilience
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to support Kubernetes clusters, serverless platforms, and cloud integrations/APIs
  • Define and promote IaC/automation practices (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, ARM templates)
  • Ensure architectures align with security, compliance, and data governance requirements
  • Support implementation of observability, monitoring, logging, and auditing using cloud-native and third-party tools
  • Lead best practices development, documentation, and technical standards across teams
  • Manage priorities across multiple initiatives and deadlines; provide direction and mentorship to team members
