Job description

The Brigitte Harris Cancer Pavilion is seeking a compassionate and skilled RN to join our dedicated team in the OncoStat clinic. As an RN in the OncoStat clinic you will play a key role in providing same-day and real-time care to patients experiencing side effects and symptoms during their treatment journey.ย 

What is the OncoStat clinic?

The OncoStat clinic provides a range of same-day immediate care services to patients experiencing the side effects of cancer treatment. OncoStat's oncology-trained Advanced Practice Providers and Registered Nurses work in close collaboration with your trusted Henry Ford Cancer team.

General Summary:

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.ย 

Hours:ย  M-F- Four 8 ย hour shifts and occasion Saturdays

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:ย 

  • BSN preferred.ย 
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.ย 
  • Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.ย 
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.ย 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

ย CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:ย 

  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.ย 
  • ACLS certification required.
