Job description

Overview

HarperCollins is seeking a Senior Associate, Advertising to partner with the Senior Manager, Advertising to execute media buying across multiple digital platforms and multiple publishing imprints. In collaboration with their manager and the publishing teams, they will help advise on ad plans for new and existing books, execute and optimize campaigns, and create timely and dynamic reporting for all stakeholders. The ideal candidate is creative, data-driven, and experienced in digital market platforms, such as Meta, TikTok, Reddit, and the Trade Desk. They can quickly plug into existing workflows, build campaigns accurately, and execute against internally defined strategies with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities
  • Under minimal supervision from the Senior Manager, Advertising, executes media buying across HarperCollins adult and children’s titles (roughly 40 titles/season)
  • Execute paid social advertising campaigns across multiple self-serve platforms including, but not limited to, Meta, TikTok, SnapChat, and Reddit, ensuring campaigns are set up accurately with strong attention to detail
  • Collects trends and shares findings from past and current campaign performance to help formulate future advertising strategies
  • Regularly update marketing teams on status and performance of live campaigns, and provide and implement recommendations for improvement
  • Set up and launch programmatic campaigns via The Trade Desk
  • Weekly and ad hoc reporting for high-level campaigns
  • Support the Senior Manager, Advertising in developing and executing presentations and final campaign reporting
Qualifications
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years advertising media buying experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Meta ads is required; experience with other social advertising platforms like Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest, etc. is strongly preferred. The right candidate will be enthusiastic and proactive about staying on top of technical campaign trends and best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage high campaign volume with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort with analytics; able to regularly and accurately pull analytics and understand how to interpret the results.
  • Comfort working closely with different teams and satisfying multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with creative development tools (e.g. Canva, Veo3) and AirTable a plus
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Background in consumer marketing preferred

The salary for this position is $65,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company.
