The HVAC Technical Trainer is responsible for providing technical support as well as design and conduct training & development programs to improve individuals and organizational performance. The role determines training objectives, and assesses technical needs through surveys, interviews with employees, and consultation with managers. The trainer role requires technical expertise, excellent customer service, strong problem solving skills, ability to address and complete customer concerns and the concerns of our HVAC technicians in a timely manner. Strong organizational skills are required.
The ideal candidate needs a minimum of 7 years HVAC service experience with 5 years of Training and Development experience.
  • Responsibilities
    • Develop and deliver training programs focused on HVAC/R systems, equipment repair, and property maintenance.
    • Create instructional materials that include schematics and technical documentation to enhance learning experiences.
    • Conduct hands-on training sessions that allow participants to practice skills in real-world scenarios.
    • Assess trainees' understanding of technical concepts through evaluations and feedback.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HVAC technology to ensure training content is current.
    • Collaborate with management to identify training needs and tailor programs accordingly.
    • Maintain accurate records of training sessions, participant progress, and feedback for continuous improvement.

    Requirements
    • Minimum 5 years HVAC Training & Development experience - REQUIRED
    • Minimum 7 years HVAC Service experience - REQUIRED
    • EPA Type II or Universal Certification - REQUIRED
    • Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC equipment.
    • Experience in equipment repair and property maintenance is highly desirable.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training sessions effectively.
    • A valid driver's license is required for travel between training locations and job sites.
    • Ability to adapt training methods based on the audience's skill level and learning styles.
