Job description

Requires a Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of job-related experience.


CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

This role is ideal for engineers interested in Test & Integration, Requirements Analysis, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), or Hardware-Systems Engineering. At GDMS, Systems Engineers Support Specialist can advance into technical leadership, program management, or advanced engineering specialties. Leadership programs, rotational assignments, and career development pathways ensure you have opportunities to expand your skills and grow your career.

As a Systems Engineer Support Specialist on RSP, you'll be part of a cross-functional engineering team delivering hardware, software and systems solutions.  This Systems Engineer role may focus on one or more of the following areas:

  • Test & Integration Engineering: hardware/software validation, verification, and performance testing
  • Requirements Engineering: documenting, analyzing, and managing system requirements
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): system modeling, simulations, and design analysis
  • Hardware-Systems Engineering: design, integration, and troubleshooting of hardware systems

Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience in Systems Engineering, including Test & Integration, Requirements, MBSE, or Hardware-Systems.
  • Knowledge of systems design, MBSE modeling, and simulation.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools (DOORS, Cameo, or similar).
  • Experience with defense, aerospace, or mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute systems engineering activities in Test & Integration, Requirements, MBSE, or Hardware-Systems, depending on focus area.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance.
  • Document, review, and manage system requirements using requirements management tools and MBSE.
  • Participate in design reviews, verification, and validation activities.
