Job description

Ace Hardware takes pride in taking care of our customers! We are seeking a manager that can lead with a great attitude, give helpful service to our customers, and guide our awesome team members. "We are ACE HARDWARE- THE HELPFUL PLACE!"

This position will require a mix of early mornings, late closings (8pm) and weekend hours. We offer vacation, sick/personal time and holiday's. Additional benefits available include a 401k profit sharing plan and health insurance.

The Manager Position will require the following:

ACE HARDWARE Store Operations:

  • Create a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
  • Oversee receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
  • Manage the daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stock room and outdoor merchandise area
  • Maintain the staff schedules to ensure the store is staffed properly at all times. Manage staff issues as well as subordinate issues.
  • Delegate assignments to Department Specialists, i.e. price changes, special orders.
  • Communicate any Store Support Center issues to ownership.
  • Be professional in appearance and actions.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

ACE HARDWARE Retail Customer Service:

  • Provide a positive representation of Ace Hardware.
  • Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
  • Assure customers are assisted in solving problems with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
  • Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
  • Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
  • Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products

Other Essential Requirements for our Hardware Retail Managers:

Education/Training High School or GED equivalent.

Experience: Formal HARDWARE retail experience.

Physical Demands: Standing, walking, lifting (up to 25lbs) and climbing.
