Bolster Hardware is seeking a Lumber & Building Materials Sales & Estimating Manager or Director to oversee sales operations, drive revenue growth, manage client relationships with contractors, builders, and developers. This individual will set sales goals, analyze market trends and set pricing strategies, accordingly, negotiate major contacts and lead inside/outside sales teams.

Core Responsibilities
  • Build a high-performance team of Lumber & Building Materials sales professionals
  • Recruit externally and build an internal bench
  • Coach inside & outside sales representatives to meet desired objectives
  • Leads sales teams and yard operations to drive sales, ensure customer satisfaction, and safety compliance
  • Build long-term relationships with builders, contractors and large-scale customers
  • Oversee material takeoffs, blueprint reading and accurate price quotes (leverage software when possible)
  • Review material estimates, analyze pricing, and approve customer bids
  • Coordinate with inventory and yard management for timely deliveries
  • Financial oversight - analysis of financial results, profit margins, pricing strategies and operational budgets
  • Manage vendor relationships - inventory flow, key supplier relationships and large-scale purchasing contracts for lumber & building materials
Core Qualifications
  • 5 - 8 years of experience in the Lumber and Building Materials or construction supply industry - deep understanding of lumber, millwork, framing, and structural products.
  • Experience in building pricing strategies to balance competitive pricing with gross margin improvement and inventory management
  • Proven skills in contract negotiation, financial analysis and inventory management
  • Strong B2B closing skills to drive sales & maintain profitable margins
  • The ideal candidate would be in central TN
