Job description

Position

Electrical Engineer II – Effector Guidance Electronics Department, Onsite – Huntsville, AL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, analysis, simulation, testing and integration of digital electronic modules and/or CCAs for missile applications, including circuit card design, hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART.
  • Support the system from proposal through transition to production, ensuring reliability across environments from the frigid, sub‑zero vacuum of space to the blistering heat of the desert floor and the high pressures of ocean depths.
  • Responsible for digital hardware design, test and integration of electronic units within missile guidance and video/digital signal processing applications.
Required Qualifications
  • Must hold U.S. citizenship; eligibility for a DoD Secret security clearance required prior to the start date.
  • Typically a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of prior engineering digital circuit design experience.
  • Experience with electronic circuit design and multi‑assembly system/unit design.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience taking design concepts from block diagram or requirements level to complete hardware designs with verification via test and integration.
  • Experience with PCB design process, schematic capture, and simulation prior to hardware execution.
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics Design Creation tools (DxDesigner, xDX Designer, VX) and/or Expedition.
  • Experience with PCB electronic circuit design software such as HyperLynx for signal integrity, power integrity, analog simulation, or Xpedition Enterprise.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary range: $57,200 – $108,800 USD.
  • Eligible for relocation assistance.
