Job Description:

 L3Harris is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our Hardware Engineering team, supporting the design, development, integration, and test of digital hardware, firmware, and embedded software products. In this role, the engineer will contribute to the full product lifecycle, including requirements analysis, circuit and system design, FPGA or microcontroller-based development, hardware/software integration, verification, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is a motivated early-career engineer with a strong technical foundation in electrical engineering principles, digital systems, and embedded technologies, along with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams. This position offers the opportunity to develop practical engineering skills while contributing to innovative products in a fast-paced development environment.

 Essential Functions:

  •  Support the design and development of advanced digital and mixed-signal hardware using sound electrical engineering principles and best practices.
  • Support all phases of hardware development, including requirements analysis, architecture definition, detailed design, schematic capture, simulation, documentation, manufacturing, integration, and verification.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues at the component, board, and box levels.
  • Use laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes, source meters, electronic loads, signal generators, multimeters, and DC power supplies to validate designs and investigate issues.
  • Support risk reduction and mitigation activities related to obsolescence, cost, producibility, and long-lead materials.
