Harbor Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our dynamic team. • Conduct thorough assessments to identify the social, emotional, and psychological needs of clients in a hospice setting.
• Deliver individual and group counseling utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients with a variety of challenges, including grief, loss, and end-of-life issues.
• Develop and implement personalized service plans that directly address the goals and needs of each client, ensuring they receive appropriate resources and support.
• Advocate passionately for clients' rights and access to essential resources, while addressing social justice issues that affect their lives.
• Engage in program development workshops, contributing to the design and evaluation of community initiatives and supporting grant reporting efforts.
• Foster collaborative relationships with community organizations, government agencies, and volunteers to enhance holistic service delivery.
• Participate actively in team meetings, trainings, and community outreach activities to promote ongoing professional development and team cohesion.

The patients you will support are typically individuals and families facing the complexities of hospice care. This may include work with clients who are coping with terminal illnesses, providing not only emotional support but helping navigate the associated social, psychological, and legal challenges. Your role as a LICSW will be pivotal in creating a compassionate care environment, ensuring that clients experience dignity and respect during this critical phase.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required to ensure you have the foundational knowledge necessary for this impactful role.
• An active state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) is essential for practice.
• Strong communication skills, along with profound empathy and organizational skills, are vital in building trusting relationships with clients and their families.

• Experience in a nonprofit organization or similar social services environment is preferred.
