The Camera Hardware Electrical Engineering group is responsible for the electrical design and integration of camera systems for all Apple products.
Description
As an Electrical Engineer on this team, you will solve complex challenges at the intersection of analog circuit design, high-speed signal integrity, and power management within highly constrained physical environments. Our primary objective is to deliver technically excellent camera hardware that is robust and optimized for high-volume mass production, setting the industry standard for performance and quality. We are looking for a proactive engineer with a dedication to high-quality design to join our collaborative, cross-functional team and help drive the development of future camera technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Internship experience as an Electrical Engineer
Knowledge of layout strategies for Substrates, Rigid PCB, Flex, or Rigid-Flex including good understanding of material selection, Stack-up planning and noise suppression
Experience with high-speed interfaces: MIPI, DisplayPort, HDMI, PCIE etc
Circuit Design: LDO, Buck, ADC, DAC, Op-AMP, etc and control interface like I2C, SPI, SPMI, UART, etc
Hands-on lab experience with hardware bring-up and debug
Experience with high volume consumer electronics design for manufacturing, testing and reliability (DFM, DFT, DFR)
Knowledge of CMOS image sensor, ISP or image processing
Excellent written, verbal and communication skills focused on teamwork and collaboration in a dynamic cross-functional environment
Statistical data analysis and visualization (ex. JMP)
Minimum Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering and at least 1 internship as an Electrical Engineer
Analog and digital circuit design including Schematics capture and layout for substrate, rigid PCB or Flex
Knowledge of signal and power integrity (High-speed design, PDN analysis)
System integration knowledge for grounding, shielding, EMI, EMC and ESD
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $126,800 and $190,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
