Happy Tails Resort is currently seeking a professional, experienced groomer. Your approach to grooming dogs must be compassionate, patient and caring with attention to detail.

Responsibilities for Dog Groomer

  • Clean the dog's teeth and cut nails
  • Maintain an upbeat attitude
  • Calm an anxious dog
  • Ensure company policies are being followed
  • Maintain your appointments and invoices
  • Keep a clean and sanitized work area
  • Make sure all grooming dogs have up to date required vaccines
  • Communicate effectively with clients to find out what they need
  • Shampoo and wash a dog's hair or fur and empty anal glands
  • Create a welcoming environment for dogs and their owners
  • Cut or shave a dog's hair or fur.
  • Qualifications for Dog Groomer
  • Must have completed a grooming program or have 2 years' experience grooming
  • Ability to work with other groomers
  • Ability to lift dogs that weigh up to 50 pounds or more
  • Grooming abilities
  • Calming presence to sooth dogs
  • Ability to stand on your feet for long periods of time
