Overview
Hanwha Defense USA is seeking an experienced Senior Project Scheduler to lead Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development and execution for complex U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in schedule architecture, Earned Value Management (EVM), and cross-functional collaboration within a defense acquisition environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and manage compliant Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, ensuring alignment with DoD standards.
  • Work closely with program management, engineering, operations, supply chain, and contracts teams to capture and sequence all program activities.
  • Lead schedule analysis including critical path, float, dependencies, and risk-impact assessments.
  • Support EVM implementation through schedule integration with the cost baseline; generate performance metrics including SPI, CPI, variance analysis, and ETC/EAC impacts.
  • Prepare and deliver schedule-related customer deliverables for major program reviews, reporting cycles, and contractual requirements.
  • Conduct schedule health checks and adhere to DCMA 14-point assessment best practices.
  • Interface with government stakeholders, primes, subcontractors, and internal leadership to ensure schedule accuracy and program alignment.
  • Support proposal development, BOEs, and new business planning through creation of realistic and defensible schedules.
  • Mentor junior schedulers and contribute to improving internal scheduling processes, tools, and governance.
Required Qualifications
  • Extensive experience developing and managing IMS for DoD programs.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and EVM principles.
  • Strong understanding of defense acquisition processes, milestones, and reporting expectations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and gather inputs from multiple disciplines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present schedule insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Due to the Defense-related nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with DCMA schedule assessment guidelines.
  • Experience integrating subcontractor schedules and managing multi-tier program structures.
