Job description

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the inspection, repair, maintenance, and return-to-service of general aviation aircraft in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs). This leadership role is responsible for managing maintenance operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising maintenance personnel, and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
 
Location: GTU: 201 Stearman Dr., Georgetown, TX 78628

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and/or supervise aircraft inspections, routine servicing, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance in accordance with applicable FARs.
Ensure all maintenance activities and documentation are completed accurately and in accordance with company maintenance procedures and inspection manuals.
Partner with the Director of Maintenance to maintain full regulatory compliance and aircraft airworthiness.
Supervise, mentor, and develop maintenance personnel while promoting safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
Ensure technicians have access to current technical publications, maintenance manuals, and regulatory documentation.
Oversee the availability, maintenance, and calibration of required tools, equipment, and support resources.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized maintenance facility and hangar.
Manage aircraft parts inventory to support efficient maintenance operations while minimizing unnecessary inventory costs.
Perform or oversee periodic inspections of fire protection and safety equipment to ensure operational readiness.
Maintain a personal set of standard hand tools required for general aviation maintenance.
Delegate responsibilities to qualified personnel as appropriate while maintaining overall accountability for maintenance operations.
 
Education Qualifications:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate in good standing required.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
 
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of General Aviation maintenance experience.
Previous Maintenance Manager or maintenance leadership experience preferred.
 
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and aircraft maintenance practices.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and team management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Proven ability to identify maintenance issues, develop solutions, and implement corrective actions.
Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance activities while meeting operational deadlines.
