A Handmade Craft job involves creating unique, handcrafted items using various materials and techniques. These artisans work with textiles, wood, clay, metal, or other materials to produce decorative or functional pieces. Many handmade craft professionals sell their work at markets, online platforms, or through custom orders. This job requires creativity, attention to detail, and sometimes business skills for marketing and selling products.

This variety makes the role dynamic and allows for both creative expression and business growth.

For over 20 years, we have been making award-winning cheeses in Seattle's Pike Place Market, building our reputation through traditional, artisanal methods, making no compromises on our high bar for deliciousness and quality.
We're looking for a driven salesperson to join our cheese sales team and grow our grocery and foodservice business across the West Coast. This is a role for someone who likes to build business, not just manage it. You'll own key customer relationships while actively looking for new accounts, new distribution, and opportunities to expand Beecher's with existing customers across both grocery and foodservice.
What You'll Do
  • Own and grow Beecher's cheese business across the West Coast
  • Build strong relationships with grocery, foodservice, distributor, and specialty food customers
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with our brand and growth goals
  • Expand distribution, assortment, and sales with existing accounts
  • Spend time in market with customers, distributors, and retailers to understand opportunities firsthand
  • Use data and insights to make informed business decisions and identify growth opportunities
  • Manage customer investments with a focus on sustainable growth and profitability
  • Take ownership of your business, including key priorities, performance metrics, opportunities, and risks
  • Serve as a passionate ambassador for Beecher's, our products, and our mission

Who We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience in CPG, grocery, specialty food, foodservice, or food distribution sales
  • A track record of building business, growing accounts, and creating new opportunities
  • You are energized by prospecting, relationship building, and being in the field
  • You understand specialty foods and appreciate exceptional quality and craftsmanship
  • Based in the Pacific Northwest and excited to travel throughout the West Coast region (50%+ travel)
  • Self-directed, curious, accountable, and comfortable working independently
  • Strong business acumen with a people-first approach
  • Comfortable working with sales data, financials, and performance metrics
  • Strong relationship-building and presentation skills
  • Genuinely excited about great food and the people who make it
