Job description

Position: Material Handler

Location: Bethel, PA

Shift (s) Available:

  • 7AM-7PM; Sunday-Tuesday & every other Wednesday
  • 7AM-7PM; Thurs.-Saturday & every other Wednesday

Material Handler Job Summary

In the position of Material Handler, you will maintain distribution of materials between the production floor and inventory; loading and unloading; staging finished product in designated inventory location and maintain general housekeeping.

Material Handler Responsibilities

  • You will safely drive a forklift to stage material, load trucks, unload trucks and transfer   material within the plant and within departments as needed.
  • You will keep safety at the forefront of team’s thinking and approach to work.
  • You will assist to maintain a safe, well organized, FIFO (first in, first out) controlled warehouse per Pregis Best Practice.
  • You will maintain inventory by identifying and placing materials and supplies in stock and record location of inventory.
  • You will prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, and securing product in correct location.

Knowledge

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • The ability to take coaching well and communicate respectfully with others and promote a positive teamwork culture.
  • Be knowledgeable of safety requirements and guidelines in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow standardized work instructions and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement culture.
