Title: Production Associate - 1st Shift

Location: Reno, NV 89521

Duration : Temp to hire/Full time

Pay rate : $20/hr. 

Shift: 1st Shift – Monday-Thursday 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM Fridays Overtime, & Saturday (Option)

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Upholstery Upholstery Production Associate for our client in Reno, NV. You will perform a variety of operational functions including assisting in the laminating process by preparing materials, applying laminate to product surfaces, and ensuring quality standards are met in a fast-paced production environment performs all other duties as assigned. This position is responsible for assisting with wrapping, bonding, and assembling fabric, vinyl, or leather materials onto various components. The ideal candidate will have strong hand-eye coordination, patience, and a willingness to learn upholstery techniques in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist in measuring, cutting, and preparing upholstery materials.
  • Wrap and bond laminate, fabric, vinyl, or leather to frames or molded parts.
  • Use hand tools, staple guns, adhesives, and cutting tools safely and effectively.
  • Stretch and secure materials to ensure a smooth, wrinkle-free finish.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and defects.
  • Follow production schedules and meet daily output goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Prepare materials for laminating (cutting, trimming, staging materials).
  • Apply laminate to various surfaces such as plastic, wood, metal, or composite parts.
  • Ensure proper alignment, bonding, and finishing of laminated products.
  • Operate basic hand tools and laminating equipment.
  • Inspect finished products for quality, bubbles, wrinkles, or defects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow safety guidelines and always company procedures.
  • Assist with packaging and labeling finished products as needed
  • Manufacturing or production setting.
  • Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • May require bending, kneeling, and prolonged standing.

Requirements

  • Previous upholstery, sewing, furniture assembly, automotive interior, or hands-on manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
  • Experience in upholstery, upholstery repair, furniture, automotive interiors, or similar trades is a plus.
  • Ability to work with hand tools and adhesives.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift to 30–50 lbs.
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, upholstery, or production experience is a plus but not required.
  • Experience in upholstery, wrap/bond laminate work, or detailed assembly.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools.
  • Experience working with adhesives or bonding materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and patience.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Comfortable working in a team-oriented production environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40–50 lbs as needed.
  • Steel-toed boots required.
  • Must pass background & drug screening.
