Job description


Machine Operator
Machine Operator will work with specialized Swiss-style CNC lathes. This team member will assist in operating and maintaining CNC Swiss machines to produce high-precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Status: Hourly Non-Exempt Position Type: Full-time (Occasional Overtime Required)
Hours: 40 hrs Schedule: M-F
Reports to: KeyLink Production Manager

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate Swiss-type CNC machines under the guidance of senior machinists or supervisors.
  • Load raw materials and monitor the machine operation to ensure continuous production.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including oiling, cleaning, and minor adjustments.
  • Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Deburr, clean, and package finished parts as required.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and production work orders.
  • Record production data and maintain accurate job tracking.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve basic production issues.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required, technical or vocational training a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic measuring tools and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and a team-player attitude.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to read and understand work instructions.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous exposure to Swiss-type CNC machines.
  • Forklift certification or experience a plus.
