Salary: Starting from $19/hr DOE

Ampco Pumps is a fast-growing manufacturer of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps used in the food and dairy industries, desalination, and various chemical and industrial applications.
We arelooking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual for our Receiving Associate position. This individual will assist in the department with all duties using established policies and procedures as defined by Ampco Pumps. A self-starter with experience is desired, but willing to train the right candidate.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Receiving of goods-including checking in parts, receiving them against the packing slip, labeling correctly, adding to ERP, and physically putting items into inventory.
  • Work closely with the Materials department on overall needs, packing slip discrepancies, and urgent incoming parts.
  • Communicate regularly with Shipping department regarding their needs for packaging materials, the arrangement of freight on the dock, and loading and unloading trucks.
  • Utilize forklift or hand trucks to convey or move material to proper stocking locations or designed production areas.
  • Pull parts for Manufacturing/Assembly departments.
  • Be able to use hand tools such as drills, saws, etc.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork.
  • Follow all safety policies and maintain departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Must be able to perform and use mathematics daily.
  • Must have strong computer, typing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to problem solve and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work well alone and with a team.
  • Ability to understand and follow both written and oral instructions.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk and reach above shoulders.
  • Ability to lift/move parts and/or packages of various sizes, up to 50 lbs.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Prior warehouse/manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Forklift certified a plus.
