Job description

Abrazo Medical Group, part of Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a fellowship-trained Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join their team in Phoenix's West Valley, a rapidly growing region. This full-time employed position offers a well-resourced practice model with hospital OR access and a dedicated ambulatory surgery center. The role provides a strong-volume, full-scope opportunity with comprehensive administrative and operational support, allowing the surgeon to focus on patient care and grow with the community.

Practice Info

  • Practice locations: Abrazo West Campus Hospital and West ASMC Clinic
  • Dedicated OR access at both a hospital and ambulatory surgery center
  • Average clinic volume: 20-25 patients per clinic day
  • Full clinical scope - surgical and non-surgical care for the hand, wrist, forearm, and elbow, including both elective and trauma cases
  • Advanced microsurgical capabilities including microvascular reconstruction, free tissue transfer, and complex limb salvage
  • Onsite U-Arm X-ray and high-resolution exam room monitors
  • Collaborative practice with certified hand therapists and multidisciplinary teams

Shift & Schedule

  • Full-time employed position
  • 2-3 OR days and 2-3 clinic days per week
  • Call rotation: approximately 1 week per month, shared among group partners

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency
  • Completion of a Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery fellowship
  • BE or BC by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS)
  • Subspecialty certification or eligibility in Surgery of the Hand
  • Experience with microsurgical techniques for vessel and nerve repair
  • Arizona medical license or eligibility to obtain licensure
