Job description

Part Time Sanitation Helper

The Town of Southampton is looking for an individual to work part time in our Waste Management Division performing a variety of manual labor tasks in the collection and disposal of garbage.

Collects and disposes of leaves, litter and refuse. Some assignments, including elementary equipment operation, may require skills which can readily be learned on the job. Basic tasks assigned may be routine and repetitive in nature and once learned, can be carried on without difficulty.

Hourly Rate: $20.00

Some knowledge of simple tools used in garbage collection; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; ability to operate simple machinery; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

20 hours/week with flexible hours between 7:30 am - 4:00 pm any days/7 days per week.
