What is a hair influencer?

A Hair Influencer is a content creator who shares hair-related tips, trends, and product recommendations on social media. They collaborate with brands to promote hair products, create tutorials, and engage with their audience. Their goal is to inspire and educate followers on hairstyling, hair care, and industry innovations. Many Hair Influencers monetize their platform through sponsorships, affiliate marketing, and partnerships with beauty companies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the hair influencer position, and why are they important?

Success as a Hair Influencer requires expertise in hair styling techniques, up-to-date knowledge of hair care trends, and a strong social media presence, often supported by relevant certifications or training in cosmetology. Familiarity with content creation tools like smartphones, cameras, video editing software, and social media analytics platforms is important. Creativity, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage authentically with followers help Hair Influencers stand out. These abilities are crucial for building an engaged audience, working with brands, and maintaining a trustworthy reputation in a competitive digital landscape.

What does a typical workday look like for a hair influencer?

A typical day as a Hair Influencer involves planning and creating hair content, such as tutorials, product reviews, or trend demonstrations, to share across various social media platforms. You'll often spend time styling your own or clients’ hair, shooting photos and videos, editing content, and interacting with your audience through comments and messages. Collaborations with fellow influencers or brands may also be part of your routine, including attending events or virtual meetings to discuss partnership opportunities. Staying current with industry trends and engaging in ongoing learning are also essential aspects, helping to keep your content fresh and relevant.

How do you become a hair influencer?

To become a hair influencer, build a strong social media presence by creating high-quality, engaging content focused on hair styling, care, and trends. Develop your personal brand, grow your followers, and collaborate with brands or salons to increase visibility; skills in photography, editing, and understanding audience preferences are also important.

How much do hair influencers make?

Hair influencers' earnings vary widely based on their follower count, engagement, and brand partnerships. Top influencers can earn thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars per sponsored post, while smaller accounts may earn less or supplement income through affiliate marketing and product sales.

Position Overview

iRESTORE is seeking an Influencer Marketing Manager to build and scale creator partnerships for our Body and Skin product categories. We’re looking for a highly organized, relationship-driven marketer with strong creative instincts and a clear understanding of how influencer content can drive awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue. The right candidate is proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable managing the full partnership lifecycle—from creator discovery and outreach through negotiation, campaign execution, content delivery, and performance analysis. This role sits within our Growth organization, reports to the Senior Influencer Marketing Manager, and partners closely with Brand, Performance Creative, Paid Media, and Organic Social.

.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day influencer strategy and campaign execution for our Body and Skin product categories.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recruit creators who align with our brand, target audiences, and growth objectives.
  • Manage the full creator partnership lifecycle, including outreach, product seeding, negotiations, contracts, briefs, approvals, posting schedules, and payment coordination.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with creators, agents, agencies, and other external partners.
  • Develop campaign briefs that translate product positioning and business goals into compelling, platform-native content.
  • Partner with Performance Creative and Paid Media to identify high-performing creator content for paid amplification, testing, and iteration.
  • Secure and track appropriate content usage rights, paid media permissions, and creator whitelisting access.
  • Monitor campaign performance across content output, engagement, traffic, customer acquisition, revenue, and other key growth metrics.
  • Use performance insights to improve creator selection, campaign concepts, investment decisions, and future testing.
  • Maintain organized campaign trackers, budgets, timelines, contracts, content libraries, and reporting.
  • Stay current on creator trends, emerging platforms, cultural conversations, and new partnership opportunities across beauty, wellness, and lifestyle.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of dedicated influencer, affiliate, or creator marketing experience, ideally within a DTC, e-commerce, beauty, wellness, or lifestyle brand.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A proven track record of executing performance-focused influencer strategies and managing campaigns from creator discovery and outreach through negotiation, activation, and reporting.
  • Direct experience communicating with influencers, talent managers, agencies, and affiliate partners across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of performance-based influencer marketing, including creator economics, commission structures, partnership terms, content usage rights, and paid amplification.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build productive, long-term relationships with creators and external partners.
  • A track record of finding creative, effective ways to engage influencers, improve campaign performance, and scale creator programs.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, with experience managing budgets, evaluating performance, conducting competitive analysis, and translating data into clear recommendations.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling outreach, campaign briefs, creator feedback, and cross-functional updates.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple creators, campaigns, deliverables, and deadlines at once.
  • An effective cross-functional partner who can work proactively across Growth, Brand, Performance Creative, Paid Media, Social, PR, and external teams.
  • Resourceful, solution-oriented, and scrappy, with a bias toward execution and a proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
  • An AI-forward working style, with practical experience using AI to support creator research, outreach personalization, campaign planning, competitive analysis, reporting, or workflow efficiency.
  • A genuine passion for social media, the creator economy, and the health, wellness, and beauty space.

Additional Experience

  • Experience with premium or high-consideration DTC products sold through Shopify.
  • Experience supporting subscription or replenishment-based products, including familiarity with SKIO.
  • Familiarity with influencer platforms, creator databases, affiliate tools, or social-commerce programs.
