Responsibilities
  • Perform full-cycle CNC machining of prototype parts to tight tolerances, from set up through finished component.
  • Set up CNC mills and lathes, including fixturing, work holding, and tooling selection for each job.
  • Execute tool changes efficiently and safely to maintain productivity and part quality.
  • Load CNC programs at the machine and make G&M code edits as needed to meet specifications.
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, including program faults and tooling problems, and adjust processes to resolve them.
  • Read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings to determine machining operations and critical dimensions.
  • Use gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards.
  • Operate and navigate Haas CNC mill controls, including 3-4 axis vertical and horizontal machining centers.
  • Perform in-process inspections and make necessary adjustments to maintain tight prototype tolerances.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete jobs on time, supporting any tasks needed in the shop regardless of tenure or title.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as gauges, micrometers, and calipers.
  • Experience with 3-4 axis CNC milling and vertical and horizontal machining centers.
  • Capability to work with tight prototype tolerances and maintain high quality standards.
  • Comfort working with assembly, fixtures, manual mill, and lathe operations as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
