The company is a leading manufacturer of high-quality Greek and Mediterranean food products, including our famous Chicago-style Gyros, Italian Beef, and pita bread. We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented Gyros Production Associates to join our team at our state-of-the-art, SQF-certified 105,000-square-foot facility in Carol Stream.
In this role, you will be responsible for executing the daily tasks required to safely produce, package, and prepare our gyro products for both retail and foodservice distribution. You will work closely with a team to maintain strict food safety standards (GMP and USDA regulations) while meeting high efficiency and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production & Processing: Assist in the daily processing of gyro meat, including operating or supplying food manufacturing equipment such as grinders, mixers, stuffers, slicers, and extruders.

  • Packaging & Palletizing: Properly place finished gyro cones, slices, or meal kits onto lines, or pack them securely into containers, boxes, and pallets according to specifications.
  • Sanitation & GMP Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work area. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), USDA guidelines, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) at all times.
  • Material Handling: Accurately weigh, scale, and batch meat and seasoning ingredients according to company recipes and production sheets.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors and line teammates to ensure smooth transitions, minimize downtime, and hit daily production metrics.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in a food manufacturing, meat processing, or industrial assembly environment is a strong plus, but on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Regulations: Basic understanding of, or willingness to learn, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and HACCP food safety standards.
  • Skills: Strong basic math skills (handling fractions, decimals, and weighing ratios). Ability to read, write, and understand instructions or product labels in English.
  • Reliability: Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and the ability to work overtime or flexible hours based on customer demands.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand and work with your hands for the duration of an 8- to 10-hour shift. Continuous bending, reaching, stooping, and walking are required.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 25 to 50 lbs regularly throughout the shift.
  • Environment: A refrigerated meat-processing environment. Employees must be comfortable working in wet and cold conditions (typically 34ยฐFโ€“36ยฐF). Moderate to loud noise levels are common, and hearing protection will be provided.
