Schedule: Monday-Friday daytime hours
Base Salary: $42,000 - $68,000 annually

About the Role
Viking Electric is seeking a driven Account Manager to grow and manage customer relationships through proactive inside selling and targeted outreach. This role partners closely with customers to understand their business, promote Viking Electric's solutions-especially digital tools-and consistently drive sales growth.
You'll spend most of your time developing accounts from an office while collaborating with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience, with occasional customer visits in the field.
What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing value, insight, and market knowledge
  • Prospect for new accounts and grow existing business through proactive outreach
  • Promote Viking Electric's full portfolio of products, services, and digital solutions
  • Negotiate pricing, secure vendor agreements, and support effective pricing strategies
  • Quote material, enter orders, manage returns, and delegate transactional tasks as appropriate
  • Collaborate with product specialists (automation, project sales, datacom, tools, digital, etc.)
  • Serve as a trusted partner and indispensable supply chain resource for customers

What We're Looking For
Required
  • 2+ years of B2B sales experience (electrical industry preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Solid computer and technology proficiency
  • Valid driver's license

  • Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
  • Experience selling electrical products or solutions
  • Strong understanding of markets, competitors, and basic financials

Work Environment
  • Approximately 80% inside sales from an office
  • Up to 20% field time visiting customers
