Watch kids light up as they learn to do their first cartwheel - and build a career leading the team that makes it happen!
The Little Gym of La Grange Park is looking for a Gym Director who's spent real time working with kids - as a teacher, coach, camp counselor, nanny, or in early childhood education - and is ready to lead a team, run a business, and be the person parents trust every week.
This is a hands-on role. You'll be in the gym teaching classes, cheering on a shy 4-year-old's first jump, chatting with parents at pickup, and leading a team of instructors who feel the same way about kids that you do. You'll also run the business side: staffing, scheduling, and growth, working closely with ownership.

Job Summary

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a team of enthusiastic instructors and staff members.
  • Create a positive, fun, and professional team culture built on teamwork and accountability.
  • Recruit, interview, hire, train, and coach team members.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and support to help your team reach their full potential.
  • Lead staff meetings and training sessions focused on program quality, customer experience, and team growth.
  • Work closely with ownership to identify opportunities, improve processes, and continue building a strong team culture.
Classes & Program Excellence
  • Teach fun, high-energy classes using The Little Gym’s proven curriculum and teaching methods (we’ll train you!).
  • Create a safe, encouraging, and confidence-building environment for children ages 4 months through 12 years.
  • Ensure every child and family receives an exceptional experience before, during, and after class.
  • Maintain the high-quality standards that make The Little Gym a trusted destination for families.
  • Support instructors in delivering engaging, age-appropriate, and memorable classes.
Gym Operations
  • Oversee the daily operations of the gym and ensure everything runs smoothly.
  •  Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming facility.
  • Manage staff schedules to ensure excellent coverage and an outstanding customer experience.
  • Monitor equipment, supplies, and facility needs.
  • Partner with ownership on operational improvements, business goals, and new initiatives.
  • Track key performance indicators that support growth, retention, and overall gym success.
Membership Growth & Customer Experience
  • Welcome new families and help them discover the benefits of The Little Gym experience.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and build strong relationships with families.
  • Support enrollment growth through tours, introductory classes, camps, birthday parties, events, and community outreach.
You’d Be a Great Fit If You…
  • Have hands-on experience working with kids — as an instructor, teacher, coach, camp counselor, nanny, or in childcare/early childhood education (this one’s important to us).
  • Have leadership or management experience — in any industry (gymnastics, education, fitness, hospitality, retail, etc.).
  • Love high-fives, laughter, and seeing kids accomplish something new.
  • Are a natural leader who can be both fun and focused.
  • Have excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Love high-fives, laughter, and seeing kids accomplish something new.

At The Little Gym of La Grange Park, we are passionate about creating memorable experiences for children and families while building a team that loves what they do.
