Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the store and maintain compliance of contracts and company policies
  • Coach and develop a successful team that consistently exceeds customer needs
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with the team and customers
  • Supervise and monitor the performance of Department Managers and Sales Consultants
  • Establish objectives with Sales Managers, F&I Managers, and Sales Consultants
  • Review monthly forecasts, commission sheets, productivity reports, and the profit performance of each department as a whole, and each Salesperson individually
  • Audit inventory and ensure that parts are well stocked and accurately accounted for
  • Study local market conditions, demographics, and past sales history, making recommendations on sales/leasing advertisements
  • Support other operational units within the store to achieve maximum return on opportunity for the store
  • Merchandise and manage new and used vehicle inventory

Requirements

  •  3+ years of experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing sales teams, with a history of achieving and surpassing sales goals
  • Prior experience in truck, body equipment, or a similar industry
  • Ability to manage a team, mentor, and train employees
  • Effective support of multiple departments across the organization
  • Strong operational experience (front and back end) including fixed and variable
  • Ability to understand company financials (P&L) and inventory control
  • Advocacy of an engaging company culture, including experience with employee retention
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment while maintaining accuracy
