Job description

Company Overview: Established in California in 2013, Green Water and Power has rapidly grown to operate in over 35 states, positioning itself as a leader in the sustainable energy sector. Named the #1 electric vehicle (EV) installer in America, we take pride in having deployed more than 14,000 EV chargers and completed approximately 5 megawatts (MW) of solar energy projects.

As an EVITP (Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program) certified turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm, we leverage our in-house expertise to efficiently manage and execute large-scale projects. Our dedication to sustainability and quality extends beyond project completion; we also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance services to ensure optimal performance for the projects we develop, as well as for third-party installations.

Position Overview: Green Water and Power is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead field operations for commercial EV charging infrastructure projects across Los Angeles and the surrounding counties. This role owns the full construction lifecycle; from pre-construction planning through final inspection; directing installation crews, coordinating with engineering and procurement, and ensuring every site is delivered safely, on schedule, and to GWP's quality standards. This is a high-visibility leadership position for a construction professional ready to take ownership of multiple concurrent job sites and mentor the next generation of installers and lead technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and direct day-to-day operations for 3-5 installation crews across multiple concurrent EV charging project sites.
  • Own execution of construction site tasks, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering department to review and interpret plan designs and single-line diagrams for EV projects.
  • Schedule and coordinate preconstruction site walks, postconstruction inspections, and final project inspections.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, identify challenges, and implement solutions to mitigate potential issues.
  • Coordinate site access with property points of contact and manage relationships with site stakeholders.
  • Partner with the procurement manager to secure materials and equipment for projects and lead installers; pick up equipment from vendors as needed.
  • Coordinate delivery of chargers and equipment to project sites.
  • Photo-document site progress and maintain accurate, organized project records.
  • Review and verify field personnel time reporting, expense reports, and daily attendance.
  • Build and maintain weekly crew schedules to ensure adequate coverage across active job sites.
  • Ensure crews properly execute and finalize all required permits.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency among installation crews, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and OSHA standards.
  • Assist in planning and preparing for the construction of new project sites.
  • Communicate project concerns and updates between engineering, crews, and company leadership.
  • Mentor and develop installers and lead technicians, supporting their growth toward electrician certification and future leadership roles.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Construction.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of electrical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience leading construction crews.
  • Strong business insight with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with impeccable organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Capable of managing multiple concurrent project workstreams.
  • Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel throughout Los Angeles and surrounding counties.
  • Physical capability to visit active construction sites and adapt to diverse job site environments.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA and company safety protocols.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience (DOE), up to $110,000 annually.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits package.
  • Retirement Savings Plan.
  • Paid time off.
  • Paid training.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and advancement within a rapidly expanding industry.
  • Collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity.
  • Opportunity to make a significant impact on the transition to sustainable energy solutions.
