Participants work with local communities and contribute to sustainable development projects. GVI provides training, support, and opportunities for personal and professional growth during the program. It's a popular choice for those seeking meaningful travel experiences and international work experience.

What are some typical challenges faced by a GVI field team member during conservation projects?

GVI field team members often work in remote or challenging environments, which can bring logistical and environmental hurdles such as unpredictable weather, limited resources, and adapting to different cultures. Team members need to be flexible and collaborative, as projects often involve dynamic tasks and close cooperation with local communities and multidisciplinary teams. It's important to be proactive and solution-oriented, as unexpected issues can arise that require quick thinking and teamwork to resolve.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a GVI, and why are they important?
