Job Summary: Hughes General Contractors, Inc. is actively searching for several experienced CONCRETE CARPENTER/FINISHERS to join our growing team! Individuals will perform tasks involving commercial construction projects in Washington County, UT. (IE: St. George, Escalante, Enterprise, knab, etc.)

Essential Functions: (Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. This list of tasks is illustrative ONLY, and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by positions in this class. • Be able to smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete such as floors, walks, curb/gutter using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
• Be willing to work in somewhat extreme weather conditions
• Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Superintendent/Foreman, Safety Manager, Safety Officer or HR Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry heavy objects (50 pounds)
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

Education, Training and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with concrete
• Have completed or be willing to compete OSHA 10hr (we are able to provide this training if necessary)
• Willingness and ability to perform manual work and follow verbal and written instructions

Special Requirements: Must be able to pass controlled substance tests prior to and at all times during employment.
