Job description

Ghostrock, LLC, a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC and a recognized leader in Federal Government contracting, is seeking a Senior Weapons Technician (Navy GM) to join our team in San Diego, CA. This role supports U.S. Navy Ships under the direction of Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) and serves as the technical Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Responsibilities:

  • Direct, oversee repair activities, train, troubleshoot, diagnose, and maintain the following:
    • MK45 MOD 2
    • MK45 MOD 4
    • MK38 MOD 2
    • MK38 MOD 3
    • MK110 Gun Mounts
    • MK46
    • Small Arms
    • Night Vision Devices
    • Crew Served Weapons and Mounts
    • Magazine Sprinkler Systems (Legacy)
    • Magazine Sprinkler Systems (Fairmont, Consilium, FDAS)
  • Provide technical support for procurement, installation, at-sea testing, preventive/corrective maintenance, and lifecycle management of systems.
  • Interpret technical manuals, apply repair standards, and maintain accurate technical documentation.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 10+ years of related experience with MK45 MOD2 or MK45 MOD4
  • Navy Gunner’s Mate “A” School graduate
  • Navy 5”/54 MK45 MOD2 “C” School or Navy 5”/54 MK45 MOD4 “C” School graduate
  • Advanced knowledge and proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining associated systems.
  • Strong technical comprehension with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, system drawings, and procedural corrective and repair standards.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to provide technical findings orally and/or written.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technical applications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and handling tools/equipment.
  • Regular verbal and auditory communication.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to board ships and naval crafts, navigating passageways and steep ladders.
  • Comfortable working in shipboard and industrial environments.

This position is located in San Diego, CA.

The hourly wage for this position is $39.78 - $48.13 BOE.
