Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to join our growing and thriving organization. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys patient interaction and wants to build a career in healthcare-no prior ophthalmic or optical experience required. We provide all necessary training to help you succeed.
What You'll Get
  • Hands-on experience working with multiple Ophthalmic Providers across Gundersen Health System
  • Comprehensive training-no optical experience needed
  • Starting hourly rate of $17.54/hour, with higher pay available based on experience
  • Exposure to a specialty care environment with opportunities to grow and learn

What You'll Do
  • Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Typical hours are between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM
  • Be based at Gundersen's La Crosse Main Campus
  • Have the opportunity to travel to various Gundersen optical locations
  • Support providers by assisting with patient care and scribing during appointments

What You'll Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 6 months of customer service or public relations experience
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to help patients feel informed and comfortable
