Summary:

Operator II - Chassis Insulator, responsible for installing and positioning insulation on chassis units, wrapping wire as required, inspecting components for quality standards, operating air guns and production tools, monitoring parts on a moving assembly line, maintaining strong communication and teamwork, and adhering to safety, housekeeping, and productivity requirements in a hot manufacturing environment.

You will be based in our Springfield, TN location.

Schedule 5:15am to 1:45 pm Monday through Friday day, depending on production needs.

Please be advised that we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position at this time.

Your main tasks:

  • Place insulation on units and wrap wire when applicable.

  • Check for proper positioning of insulation.

  • Inspect parts to ensure high-quality product.

  • Use of air gun and other tools or fixtures when appropriate.

  • Function as a team member of a highly motivated and trained workgroup that upholds team values, quality requirements and the safety and housekeeping requirements for this area.

  • Must be able to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to inspect parts on a moving process line.

  • Must be capable of working in hot areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, with the ability to follow written and verbal work instructions and communicate effectively.

  • Ability to safely operate basic hand tools, air guns, and production equipment in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to inspect products for quality defects and maintain quality standards while working on a moving production line.

  • Ability to accurately place and position insulation materials according to specifications.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to work directly with insulation.

  • Able to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.

  • Able to stand up to seven (7) hours at a time.
