Guidewire ClaimCenter Developer / Consultant

The Guidewire ClaimCenter Developer / Consultant is responsible for the end-to-end design, configuration, development, integration, and implementation of solutions on the Guidewire ClaimCenter platform. This role works closely with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, QA teams, and integration teams to translate claims-processing requirements into scalable, secure, and reliable technology solutions.

### Key Responsibilities

* Design, configure, develop, test, and implement Guidewire ClaimCenter solutions.
* Configure claims functionality, including first notice of loss, exposures, activities, assignments, reserves, payments, recoveries, subrogation, litigation, and claim closure.
* Develop business rules, workflows, validation rules, assignment rules, and user-interface configurations using Guidewire Studio.
* Build and customize solutions using Gosu, PCF, entities, typelists, data-model extensions, plugins, and Guidewire configuration frameworks.
* Design and implement integrations between ClaimCenter and internal or third-party systems using REST APIs, SOAP services, messaging, plugins, and batch processes.
* Partner with business analysts, claims stakeholders, and Product Owners to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementation plans.
* Lead technical-design discussions and recommend solutions aligned with Guidewire standards and enterprise architecture.
* Develop technical specifications, integration mappings, process flows, data models, and system-design documentation.
* Conduct code and design reviews and ensure adherence to coding, security, performance, and quality standards.
* Create unit tests and support functional, integration, regression, performance, and user-acceptance testing.
* Troubleshoot complex configuration, integration, data, performance, and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
* Support ClaimCenter upgrades, cloud migrations, platform modernization, and product-version enhancements.
* Assist with data conversion, mapping, reconciliation, and migration activities.
* Provide effort estimates, identify technical dependencies, and communicate risks or delivery concerns proactively.
* Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
* Support release planning, deployment, implementation, and post-production stabilization.
* Collaborate effectively with distributed teams, external vendors, and Guidewire support.
* Develop reusable components, technical standards, and delivery accelerators.
* Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to the broader delivery team.

### Required Qualifications

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
* At least 7 years of overall technology experience, including 4 or more years of hands-on Guidewire ClaimCenter development experience.
* Experience participating in at least one end-to-end Guidewire ClaimCenter implementation or major upgrade.
* Strong hands-on experience with Guidewire Studio, Gosu, PCF, entities, typelists, business rules, workflows, plugins, and data-model extensions.
* Strong experience developing ClaimCenter integrations using REST, SOAP, messaging, batch-processing, and plugin frameworks.
* Proficiency in object-oriented programming, XML, JSON, SQL, and web-service technologies.
* Strong understanding of property and casualty insurance and the end-to-end claims lifecycle.
* Experience with claims functions such as coverage verification, exposures, reserves, payments, recoveries, subrogation, litigation, and claim closure.
* Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
* Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments.
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
* Ability to lead technical discussions and work effectively with business and technology stakeholders.
* Ability to operate independently and manage deliverables in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

* Guidewire ClaimCenter certification.
* Guidewire Cloud certification or hands-on Guidewire Cloud experience.
* Experience with ClaimCenter upgrades or migrations to Guidewire Cloud.
* Experience with other Guidewire InsuranceSuite applications, including PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ContactManager, and DataHub.
* Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud Platform, Integration Gateway, and related cloud services.
* Experience with AWS, Azure, or other enterprise cloud platforms.
