Principle Purpose of Job
The Restaurant Manager oversees all front-of-house food and beverage operations at Heck's Tavern, including employee oversight, guest satisfaction, service standards, beverage program management, and menu development in collaboration with the culinary team. This role is responsible for leading successful revenue-generating efforts and ensuring overall operational excellence at Heck's Tavern, Hallowed Grounds, the Pool Bar, and other F&B operations within Devil's Thumb Ranch.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the front-of-house food and beverage operations.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of F&B on innovative revenue-generating strategies.
  • Execute the business plan and contribute to the success of food and beverage operations.
  • Maintain proactive communication with the back-of-house/culinary team.
  • Ensure the highest level of guest service, in line with DTR standards.
  • Oversee hiring, training, development, and coaching of restaurant staff.
  • Lead training and product knowledge initiatives for staff and assistant managers.
  • Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, and termination paperwork.
  • Implement and maintain SOPs; create new SOPs when necessary, pending approval.
  • Assist with budgeting and resource allocation for restaurant operations.
  • Manage financial reporting, including daily revenue, forecasts, and promotions.
  • Oversee purchasing, inventory, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Actively work the floor to support staff and ensure smooth operations.
  • Solicit guest feedback and resolve guest complaints.
  • Ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and recycling efforts meet DTR and health department standards.
  • Protect company assets and ensure the upkeep of restaurant tools and property.
  • Engage with the local community to build relationships and promote business.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and liquor laws.
  • Ability to manage financial aspects, including budgeting and payroll.
  • Excellent guest service skills and decision-making under stress.
  • Flexibility with scheduling and ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

Compensation Description: $65,000 - $80,000/yr Competitive pay commensurate with education and experience.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
