Hilton Ocala is one of four Meyer Jabara properties in Florida. Our beautiful 196-room hotel features six spacious event rooms and a tented outdoor event space, making us a premier destination for weddings, meetings, and special events.

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the property and building operations to support guest satisfaction by ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and hotel systems are safe, attractive, and operating efficiently. This position oversees the hotel's preventive maintenance program, coordinates repairs, and supervises maintenance team members to ensure the highest standards of property upkeep.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, train, and develop maintenance associates.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all preventive maintenance and repair work.
  • Supervise daily operations of the maintenance department.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to identify maintenance needs.
  • Repair and maintain electrical systems, including lighting, outlets, and televisions.
  • Maintain HVAC equipment and ensure systems are clean and operating efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing systems, including toilets, sinks, faucets, and bathtubs.
  • Complete touch-up work including painting, grouting, furniture repairs, and fixture replacement.
  • Replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, filters, hardware, and other building components as needed.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel maintenance procedures.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance or engineering experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience required.
  • Hospitality maintenance experience preferred.
  • Related technical certifications are a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and general building maintenance.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and other departments.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed throughout the hotel property, including guest rooms, public areas, rooftops, grounds, boiler rooms, and mechanical spaces.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and climbing.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights when necessary.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of materials and equipment up to 50 pounds; heavier lifting may occasionally be required.
  • Regular use of hand tools, ladders, maintenance equipment, paint supplies, and cleaning chemicals.
