Job description

Are you passionate about hospitality and eager to work for the most recognized name in the industry? Do you aspire to grow your career at a premier hotel in downtown Milwaukee? If so, the Hilton Milwaukee is the perfect place for you! We are seeking a dedicated Lead Housekeeper to join our dynamic team and contribute to the exceptional guest experience we're known for. As a Lead Housekeeper you support management by training and supervising the work activities of Room Attendants and Housekeepers to ensure clean, orderly, safe, attractive and well-maintained guestrooms, public and back-of-house areas.

Connected to the newly expanded Baird Center, Hilton Milwaukee is Milwaukee's largest hotel. Originally built in 1927 as the Schroeder Hotel, the property features over 700 guest rooms, more than 34,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and hosts thousands of guests, associates, and visitors each year.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide supervision of assigned Housekeeping associates to ensure job duties are completed.
  • Ensure that all designated guestrooms receive service.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public and back-of-house areas as assigned and grade work performance to maintain high standards. Ensure furniture, facilities, and equipment are maintained and report defects for repair.
  • Train associates regarding job duties and quality standards.
  • Cover temporary staff shortages with manual duties.
  • Promote excellent guest/associate rapport by reacting promptly, efficiently and courteously to all guest and associate requests.
  • Find creative solutions and suggest improvements. Recommend better methods for guest/associate satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned per Manager.

What we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous housekeeping experience required.
  • 1-2 years of supervisor/lead experience highly preferred.
  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to provide clear direction, instruction, and guidance to subordinates.
  • Physical stamina to complete repetitive manual labor tasks.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.

What's in it for you?

  • A free, well-balanced meal every shift
  • Room discounts at Marcus Hotels & Resorts and Hilton-branded properties
  • Discounts at Marcus Hotels & Resorts restaurants, cafes, lounges, golfing, skiing, and spa
  • Free parking
  • "Two for one" movie theater coupons at Marcus Theatres
  • Ability to grow your career and transfer from one property to another while maintaining your service with the company
  • Early wage access
  • Paid time off
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance (offered after 30 days of employment), company-paid life insurance, employee assistance program offer, and 401k with employer match
  • And more!

About Us:
