Job description

Wheels is a last-mile, shared electric vehicle platform changing the current landscape in last-mile mobility. Our products range from a shared rental marketplace to personal ownership and anything in between. We are a low-cost, energy-efficient way to get from point A to point B... and then some.
E-Bike Technicians are focused on helping us keep our vehicles on the road and delivering safe, reliable rides to riders across our cities. As a technician, you'll work with technology to assist in servicing and repairing the fleet and track important vehicle diagnostics.
This is a full-time role hired directly with Wheels that will be based out of our Austin Warehouse. We also have part-time positions available! We operate 24/7 and currently are looking for someone to fill an AM position.

What You'll Do:
  • Diagnose incoming bikes and route them to the appropriate department for service
  • Adjust bike parts, such as adjusting brake calipers, and rotors
  • Maintain bike parts, such as filling tires with air and/or replace them
  • Perform quality checks on bikes
  • Use our app to test ride bikes to ensure they meet our standards and are ready for the road
  • Assist with other miscellaneous duties around the warehouse such as battery charging, assist the team in unloading new bikes

What You'll Need:
  • A smartphone and experience using mobile technology
  • Excellent skills with hand tools and the ability to lift over 40 pounds, repeatedly
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Flexible schedule and able to regularly work on weekends
  • Ability to self-manage and also work well in a team environment
  • Prior related experience (such as micro mobility or mechanic experience) may be eligible for senior roles

Nice to have:
  • Experience repairing electric scooters or bikes is a plus!
