Job description

Ready to suit up as an Industrial Security Guard

What matters most in this role is your sharp eye and strong attention to detail. As an Industrial Security Guard, you'll proactively identify risks, maintain a visible security presence, and help protect critical transit infrastructure before incidents escalate.

Responsibilities for Industrial Security Guard
  • Conduct routine interior/exterior patrols of the site.
  • Maintain a highly visible security presence to deter trespassing, vandalism, and other unwanted activity.
  • Approach and professionally remove unauthorized individuals and vagrants from the property in accordance with site procedures.
  • Monitor the bus parking area for suspicious or unsafe activity and report incidents promptly.
  • Complete patrol logs, scan point verification, and detailed incident reports as required.
  • Respond to security concerns and communicate effectively with dispatch and site contacts.
  • Provide security services only within the assigned areas. 
Qualifications for Industrial Security Guard
  • Be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Hold a valid BC security license
  • First aid certification - an asset 
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
  • Strong proficiency with technology
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
