Job Description

What you get to do in this role:

  • Partner with global business owners across GTM Planning, Sales Operations, and Finance to understand planning processes, identify process improvement opportunities, and design solutions using Anaplan
  • Lead end-to-end business process design and optimization for Anaplan implementations and enhancements; translate complex business requirements into functional specifications and use cases
  • Own project management and coordination of cross-functional Anaplan initiatives including Sales CRM Integration, Capacity Planning, Financial Planning, and GTM Coverage enhancements; manage timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder expectations
  • Design and deliver comprehensive Anaplan enablement programs including training curricula, user documentation, system guides, and best practice playbooks for diverse user audiences
  • Manage and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, execution, and issue resolution; drive user adoption and minimize go-live risks through effective change management
  • Collaborate with Anaplan technical specialists, IT teams, data analytics, and business partners to ensure requirements are clearly defined and solutions are technically feasible and properly integrated
  • Communicate functional and business requirements effectively between business stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership; distill complex planning challenges into clear problem statements and recommended solutions
  • Conduct post-implementation business support including troubleshooting user issues, gathering feedback, and identifying enhancements for continuous improvement
  • Proactively identify process improvements and business optimization opportunities; design solutions that enhance planning efficiency, data accuracy, and decision-making speed
  • Mentor junior business analysts and functional team members on Anaplan planning methodologies, best practices, and business process design principles
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams; prioritize competing business needs and deliver results against aggressive timelines
  • Contribute to the development of Anaplan governance frameworks, process documentation, and operational standards
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • 5+ years of business analyst or functional consultant experience; 3+ years working with Anaplan as a functional user, business analyst, or enablement specialist (technical model building expertise not required)
  • Deep understanding of enterprise planning processes including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), operational planning, quota/territory planning, or capacity planning
  • Proven experience gathering requirements, designing business processes, and translating business needs into functional specifications and use cases
  • Strong project and program management capabilities with ability to manage complex, multi-workstream initiatives across geographically distributed teams
  • Demonstrated expertise in change management, user enablement, and training delivery; ability to drive adoption and overcome resistance to change
  • Experience managing UAT planning and execution for enterprise systems implementations or enhancements
  • Strong business partnership skills and proven track record of successfully driving cross-functional initiatives, coordinating complex stakeholder relationships, and influencing without authority
  • Familiarity with Sales CRM platforms (Salesforce, Varicent, or similar) and understanding of Go-To-Market planning, sales processes, and quota management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to articulate complex business requirements to technical teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with AI-driven insights and analytical thinking about how to optimize planning processes and decision-making workflows
  • Senior-level competencies: leadership presence, mentoring ability, and strategic thinking about planning maturity and business capability development
  • Nice to have: ServiceNow platform familiarity, experience with Pigment or other reporting/analytics tools, knowledge of Snowflake or data warehouse concepts, or background in management consulting
